Highway 628 is a highway in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is in two segments. The southern segment runs from Highway 18 near Glen McPherson to Highway 43 near Pambrun, and the northern segment runs from Highway 1 near Waldeck to Highway 4 near Stewart Valley. The southern segment is about 56 km (35 mi.) long and the northern segment is about 45 km (28 mi.) long. The southern segment also passes near the communities of Quimper and Ponteix. Neidpath, Saskatchewan
Neidpath, is a hamlet in Coulee Rural Municipality No. 136, Saskatchewan, Canada. The hamlet is located on Highway 363 and Highway 720 about 25 km east of the city of Swift Current. Neidpath was named after Neidpath Castle, near Peebles, Scotland. The name was suggested by the first postmaster, John Mitchell, whose family emigrated from Peebles. The town was located on a branch line of the Canadian Northern Railway (later Canadian National) that ran to Avonlea, Saskatchewan. During its heyday Neidpath had four grain elevators, two of which still stand derelict today. At one time Neidpath even had its own telephone company, the Neidpath Rural Telephone Central Office. It also had hotels (including two Chinese hotels and restaurants and the King George Hotel along Central Avenue), a pool hall, hardware store, and a blacksmith shop. Herbert is a town located in the Rural Municipality of Morse No. 165, in southwest Saskatchewan, Canada. The community is 48 km east of the city of Swift Current, and 197 km west of Regina the provincial capital, on the Trans-Canada Highway. Its population as of 2016 was 856. Herbert was named after the British diplomat Sir Michael Henry Herbert. It is the hometown of CBC Sports broadcaster Don Wittman. Herbert was also the home of former senator Jack Wiebe. Burnham-on-Sea is a seaside town in Somerset, England, at the mouth of the River Parrett, upon Bridgwater Bay. Burnham was a small fishing village until the late 18th century when it began to grow because of its popularity as a seaside resort. Burnham-on-Sea forms part of the parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge and shares a town council with its neighbouring small market town of Highbridge. Swift Current is the fifth largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is situated along the Trans Canada Highway west of Moose Jaw, and east of Medicine Hat, Alberta.
