City Of Greater Geraldton
The City of Greater Geraldton is a local government area in the Mid West region of Western Australia, north of the state capital, Perth on the Indian Ocean. It covers an area of , and its seat of government is the town of Geraldton. It was established on 1 July 2011 following the amalgamation of the Shire of Mullewa and the City of Geraldton-Greenough, itself a product of a 2007 amalgamation between the City of Geraldton and Shire of Greenough. Walkaway is a small town in the City of Greater Geraldton local government area of Western Australia. At the , Walkaway had a population of 270. Its name is a corruption of the native "Wagga wah", referring to the bend in the nearby Greenough River, and was originally given to the railway station when a line was built from Geraldton in 1887. Grevillea Hirtella
''Grevillea hirtella'' is a species of flowering plant in the family Proteaceae and is endemic to the west of Western Australia. It is a spreading shrub with crowded linear and divided leaves and clusters of pale pink to deep red flowers. Description ''Grevillea hirtella'' is a spreading shrub that typically grows to up to high and wide and has hairy branchlets. Its leaves are crowded, some leaves linear, long, some divided with two or three lobes long and long. The upper surface of the leaves is more or less glabrous and the edges are rolled under, obscuring the lower surface. The flowers are arranged in down-turned clusters of ten to sixteen on a rachis long. The flowers are pale pink to deep pinkish red, the style with a green tip, the pistil long. Flowering mainly occurs from August to November and the fruit is an oblong to elliptic follicle long.
