Buono Beach
Buono Beach is a small shorefront public park in the New York City borough of Staten Island, in the neighborhood of Rosebank, at the foot of Hylan Boulevard. Buono Beach borders New York Harbor and is adjacent to the park containing the Alice Austen House. The park contains a local veterans' memorial fountain. Buono Beach was named after Matthew "Giggy" Buono, a South Beach resident and graduate of New Dorp High School who died in the Vietnam War. Prior to its renaming in 1988, Buono Beach was called Penny Beach. Although the origin of that name is unknown, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation surmises that the beach was named for either the original name of Hylan Boulevard (Pennsylvania Avenue), or because the beach was once a "lovers' lane" where couples would toss coins into the harbor while making wishes. Buono Beach Fountain SI Jeh
was a subgroup of the Japanese girl groups Berryz Kobo and Cute, formed in 2007 by Up-Front Promotion and associated with Hello! Project. The members consisted of Momoko Tsugunaga and Miyabi Natsuyaki from Berryz Kobo, and Airi Suzuki from Cute. Their vocals were backed by the band Dolce, which formerly went under name Busters! in 2008. Buono! was initially formed as an idol project group to perform theme songs for the ''Shugo Chara!'' anime series, which ran from 2007 to 2010. After the show's end, they moved labels from Pony Canyon to Zetima and starred in the horror film ''Ring of Curse''. Between 2012 and 2016 Buono! became less active and only performed as guest at various Hello! project events. Their radio show "Trattoria Buono!" was still on air until February 2015. New Dorp High School, commonly referred to as New Dorp or NDHS, is a public school in New Dorp on the East Shore of the New York City borough of Staten Island in the New Dorp neighborhood. The school is administered by the New York City Department of Education. The school is located at 465 New Dorp Lane next to Miller Field, an army airport turned park, which extends to the Lower New York Bay. New Dorp High School is located in Region 7, which encompasses all of Staten Island and portions of southwest Brooklyn. These areas range from parking lots in secluded rural areas to places with extraordinary views of a cityscape or other features. Alice Austen House
The Alice Austen House, also known as Clear Comfort, is located at 2 Hylan Boulevard in the Rosebank section of Staten Island, New York City, New York. It was home of Alice Austen, a photographer, for most of her lifetime, and is now a museum and a member of the Historic House Trust. The house is administered by the "Friends of Alice Austen", a volunteer group.
