Bunyip Football Club
Bunyip Football Club, nicknamed The Bulldogs, is an Australian rules football club in the West Gippsland Football Competition. The club is based in the small town of Bunyip, in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. History When the West Gippsland FA became the Central Gippsland FL in 1909, Bunyip won the competition first flag. The club stayed in the Central gippsland league until 1926 when it became a founding member of the West Gippsland FL.The club won three flags in the WGFL, including the 1939 flag when their rivals, Garfield did not turn up because it was raining. Reforming after the war the 1945 premiership was the last in the WGFL, rival town's population was growing at a faster rate and Bunyip found the competition was too hard. Welshpool Football Jumper
Welshpool ( cy, Y Trallwng) is a market town and community in Powys, Wales, historically in the county of Montgomeryshire. The town is from the Wales–England border and low-lying on the River Severn; its Welsh language name ''Y Trallwng'' means "the marshy or sinking land". The community includes Cloddiau and Pool Quay. The West Gippsland Football Netball Competition (WGFNC) is an Australian rules football and netball league in the West Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. The competition comprises four grades of football (seniors, reserves, under-18 and under-16) and six grades of netball (A-grade, B-grade, C-grade, 17-&-Under, 15-&-Under and 13-&-Under). The competition is not to be confused with the former ''West Gippsland Football League'' which merged with the ''Gippsland Latrobe Football League'' at the end of 2001 to form the West Gippsland Latrobe Football League. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sun sets on the Earth. Bunyip, Victoria
Bunyip is a town in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, 81 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area. Bunyip recorded a population of 3,131 at the 2021 census. Its major road connection is via the Princes Highway. Gippsland is a rural region that makes up the southeastern part of Victoria, Australia, mostly comprising the coastal plains to the rainward (southern) side of the Victorian Alps (the southernmost section of the Great Dividing Range). The Ellinbank and District Football League is an Australian rules football and Netball League, based in the West Gippsland region of Victoria for smaller towns and villages in the regions of Baw Baw, South Gippsland and Cardinia. There are 11 teams in the league fielding 2 senior football sides and 2 football junior sides (U/16 and U/18) and 3 senior netball sides and 3 junior netball sides. Shane Mumford
Shane Mumford (born 5 July 1986) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who most recently played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He has also previously played for the Geelong Football Club and the Sydney Swans. He was a part of Sydney's 2012 premiership team. Ben Ross (born 21 September 1988) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League. He was rookie listed by in the 2013 AFL Rookie Draft after previously playing for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League between 2007 and 2011. North Melbourne Ross was selected by the Kangaroos with Pick 3 in the 2006 AFL Draft#2006 Pre-Season Draft, 2006 AFL Pre-Season Draft. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
