Bunim/Murray Productions is an entertainment production company based out of Glendale, California, and is considered a pioneer in the reality television genre. It is best known for ''The Real World'', ''Road Rules'', ''Bad Girls Club''. Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray co-founded Bunim/Murray after agent Mark Itkin of the William Morris Agency put the two together to develop a scripted soap opera for MTV. When that was too expensive, they decided to try an unscripted soap and ''The Real World'' was born. "We knew within 20 minutes of shooting that we had a show," Bunim said. The company has expanded into music management, managing the pop punk/emo band A Cursive Memory. In March 2010, the company was acquired by Banijay Entertainment (former name of Banijay Group). A Cursive Memory
A Cursive Memory was an American rock band, from Southern California who released an EP and two albums in the period 2006 to 2012. Biography The band originally formed under the name 'Sincerely Me' in 2003 after members Colin Baylen (guitar/vocals) and Shaun Profeta (drums) met at a birthday party. Mark Borst-Smith (bass/keyboards) and Brian Bolen (guitar) completed the fourpiece. They started off playing covers of some of their favorite bands, such as blink-182 and Jimmy Eat World, but eventually grew to write their own original songs and adopted the name A Cursive Memory. Over the course of the next few years, the band built up a small local fan base and self-released their first EP, ''A Cursive Memory'', which was recorded in Bolen's home studio. ''El Mundo Real'' (Spanish for ''The Real World'') is the Mexican/Latin American version of MTV's reality television series ''The Real World''. The series is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and MTV Studios, being part of the new distribution deal for the franchise with Facebook Watch, which includes the revival of the American series, together with the Thailand-based season. The series was announced on October 8, 2018, and the series debuted on June 13, 2019. The series was primarily filmed in Mexico City, Mexico. It's not the first time the franchise (not including spin-off ''The Challenge'') has filmed in Mexico, as the American version's twenty-second season took place in the country just ten years prior to this version's debut. The program originally aired on Fox from July 11, 2007 to June 19, 2009, hosted by Wayne Brady and produced by RDF USA, part of RDF Media. The premiere of the show prompted NBC to move up the premiere of their similar game show, '' The Singing Bee''.
