Bulgaria In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014
Bulgaria selected their Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 entry through an internal selection. On 26 July 2014 the Bulgarian broadcaster BNT stated that they will return to the contest with Krisia Todorova. This was later confirmed by the EBU on 1 August 2014. Krisia Todorova, Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatov represented Bulgaria with the song Planet of the Children. Despite being one of the favourites to win the contest, it finished second with 147 points. Internal selection On 25 July 2014 the Novini.bg stated that Bulgaria would return to the contest with Krisia Todorova singing and Hasan and Ibrahim playing the piano. Despite originally being considered speculation, the next day the Bulgarian broadcaster revealed that Todorova would actually represent Bulgaria in the 2014 contest. Krisia Todorova
Krisia Marinova Todorova ( bg, Крисия Маринова Тодорова, born 1 June 2004) is a Bulgarian singer, composer and songwriter. Along with Ignatov Brothers, she represented Bulgaria at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta with her song " Planet of the Children". They finished in second place, however they won the press voting. The following year she performed "Discover", the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 official song, in Arena Armeec, Sofia., and again " Planet of the Children" and "I'd like to draw a dream" at "New Wave Junior", 2015, Sochi, Russian Federation. Also, in the year 2015, Todorova and the Seven-Eight Production Company received the NASO Grand Prize for their contribution to the social development of Bulgaria. Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatov ( bg, Хасан Игнатов и Ибрахим Игнатов, born 15 December 2003) are Bulgarian twin pianists. Along with Krisia Todorova, they represented Bulgaria in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta with the song "Planet of the Children". Like Todorova, Hasan and Ibrahim also participated in ''Slavi's Show'' on bTV. They released their first collection of their own compositions at the age of 11. "Planet of the Children" ( bg, Планетата на децата, translit=Planetata na detsata) is the debut single by Bulgarian child singer Krisia Todorova and pianists Hasan & Ibrahim. It represented Bulgaria at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014, placing second with 147 points. The song is about a fairy willing to wake the child inside everyone because wars, fear and famine do not exist on the children's planet, but goodness only. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 12th edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and took place, for the first time, in Malta. This was the third time that the contest was hosted by the winning country. Maltese national broadcaster PBS was the host broadcaster for the event. The final took place on 15 November 2014 and was in the Malta Shipbuilding in Marsa, near Valletta. Moira Delia, a Maltese television personality, hosted the show, marking the first time in Junior Eurovision history that there was only one presenter of the show. ''Slavi's Show'' ( bg, Шоуто на Слави) was a long-running Bulgarian evening talk show aired every workday on bTV from 22:30 to 23:30 EET and hosted by Slavi Trifonov. Occasionally, the show also aired live at 20:00 EET. The program blends elements of dancing, talk show, cabaret, live music, theatre, stand-up comedy and even talent contest. bTV is the first private nationwide television channel in Bulgaria. It is operated by bTV Media Group, as part of Central European Media Enterprises, and is reportedly the Bulgarian television channel with the largest viewing audience.
