Bulbul
The bulbuls are members of a family, Pycnonotidae, of medium-sized passerine songbirds, which also includes greenbuls, brownbuls, leafloves, and bristlebills. The family is distributed across most of Africa and into the Middle East, tropical Asia to Indonesia, and north as far as Japan. A few insular species occur on the tropical islands of the Indian Ocean. There are 160 species in 32 genera. While different species are found in a wide range of habitats, the African species are predominantly found in rainforest, whereas Asian bulbuls are predominantly found in more open areas. Taxonomy The family Pycnonotidae was introduced by the English zoologist George Robert Gray in 1840 as a subfamily Pycnonotinae of the thrush family Turdidae. Bulbul, ( az, Bülbül, born Murtuza Rza oghlu Mammadov, 22 June 1897 – 26 September 1961) was a famous Azerbaijani and Soviet opera tenor, folk music performer, and one of the founders of vocal arts and national musical theatre in Azerbaijan. Biography Bulbul was born in 1897 in Khanbaghi, a hamlet in the former royal gardens between Shusha and Khankandi. His mother was from the village of Pareular, the daughter of a nomad Kurd. He was known for his musical talent since his childhood, which is why people nicknamed him Bulbul ("nightingale" in Azerbaijani). He chose it as a stage name when he became involved in professional music. While still a young khananda, he was invited to Baku in 1920 to perform the role of Karam in Uzeyir Hajibeyov's opera ''Asli and Karam''. Bulbul Chowdhury
Bulbul Chowdhury (1 January 1919 – 17 May 1954), real name Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, was a Bengali dancer of British India, and later East Pakistan. He is primarily regarded as a pioneer of modern dance in Bangladesh, as a founding figure of dance among the conservative Muslim community. Early life and education Chowdhury was born in Chunati village Under Satkania Upazila in what is now Lohagara Upazila, Chittagong, on 1 January 1919. His father, Mohammed Azamullah, was an inspector (later promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police) in the then Bengal Police Service during British Reign. His maternal grandfather, Munshi Fazar Ali Dewan, was a lawyer of Calcutta High Court who also practiced at Chittagong. Chowdhury was home tutored in Arabic and Persian. Bulbul Hussain ( bn, বুল্বুল হুসেইন; born 3 January 1972) is a British wheelchair rugby player who plays for Kent Crusaders and the Great Britain Paralympic team. He plays mostly in a defensive role. Early life Hussain was born in Sylhet District, Sylhet Division, Bangladesh. In 1994, a road traffic accident in Bangladesh left him with a spinal cord injury. He has no function in his hands, some restriction to his arm movement and no movement in his lower body. For wheelchair rugby Hussain is classified as a "one pointer" or a 1.0 player. Bulbul () is a 2019 Nepalese film that Binod Poudel directed and wrote. Abeeral Thapa, Bhim Thapa, Raju Paudel, and Purushottam Pandey produced the film under the banner of Awaken Production. The film stars Swastima Khadka, and Mukun Bhusal in the lead roles. The story line is about a woman who drives tempo for a living in Kathmandu. The film was released on 15 February 2019. It was selected as the Nepalese entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. ''Bulbbul'' is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language supernatural thriller, written and directed by Anvita Dutt. Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul (1 January 1956 – 22 January 2019) was a Bangladeshi lyricist, composer and music director, active since the late 1970s. He was a freedom fighter who joined the Bangladesh Liberation War at the age of 15. He won Ekushey Padak and Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director twice for the films '' Premer Taj Mahal'' (2001) and ''Hajar Bachhor Dhore'' (2005). Mohammad Aminul Islam ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আমিনুল ইসলাম; born 2 February 1968) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and captain.
