Bukit Nanas Monorail Station
Bukit Nanas Monorail station is a Malaysian elevated monorail train station in Kuala Lumpur that serves as a part of the Kuala Lumpur Monorail (KL Monorail). It was opened alongside the rest of the train service on August 31, 2003. This station was formerly called P. Ramlee Monorail station. Location The station is located at the western tip of Ampang, constructed near and named after Bukit Nanas, where the Kuala Lumpur Tower, a water treatment plant and a forest reserve are situated. The station is located above Jalan Sultan Ismail, directly south from the Jalan Sultan Ismail-Jalan Ampang intersection. Due to its location, the station is typically busy during rush hours as well as public holidays, weekends and school holidays when patrons use the monorail to reach the Kuala Lumpur Tower. Jalan Ampang or Ampang Road (Selangor state route B31) is a major road in Klang Valley region, Selangor and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Built in the 1880s, it is one of the oldest roads in the Klang Valley. Dang Wangi LRT station is an underground metro station, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, part of the Kelana Jaya Line (formerly known as PUTRA). The LRT Kelana Jaya Line is a medium-capacity light rapid transit (LRT) line and the first fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. Ampang Jaya, more commonly known as just Ampang, is a town, a mukim and a parliamentary constituency straddling parts of the Hulu Langat District and Gombak District, in eastern Selangor, Malaysia. Bukit Nanas
Bukit Nanas, meaning "Pineapple Hill" (Weld Hill during colonial rule), is a small hill in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a height of 94 meter (308 ft) above sea level, it contains the only virgin tropical rain forest left in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is located here, and is open to the public. There are jungle trails, a visitors centre, and a forestry museum.
