Bühler is a municipality in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland. History Bühler is first mentioned in 1479 as ''Ullrich Büllershoff''. Geography Bühler has an area, , of . Of this area, 62.7% is used for agricultural purposes, while 26% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 10.6% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.7%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). The municipality is located in the ''Appenzell Mittelland'' on the north side of the ''Rotbachtal''. It consists of the village of Bühler and scattered hamlets and factories. Buhler is a city in Reno County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 1,325. History The first post office in Buhler was established in 1888. Buhler was primarily inhabited by Mennonite families that had emigrated from Russia during the 1880s. In September 2012, the City of Buhler received a letter from the Freedom from Religion Foundation regarding a complaint about perceived constitutual violations about the city seal having a cross in it. In November 2012, the city stated that every legal opinion it had received indicated the city has no supportable case in the event that it was sued to legally force us to remove the seal and sign. If the city lost, it would be obligated to pay all the legal fees of the prevailing party. Buhler Industries
Buhler Industries Inc. was established in 1969 when John Buhler purchased "Standard Gas Engine Works", which was founded in 1932. The company produced the Farm King line of grain augers, snowblowers, mowers and compact implements. Buhler Industries expanded in 1982 with the purchase of the Allied line of front-end loaders and the company began trading on the TSE in 1994, at which time all products were marketed under the "Buhler" brand name. The company acquired the Versatile Tractor division of New Holland Ag in the year 2000. Buhler purchased the Versatile tractor plant with a $32-million government loan. According to labour historian Doug Smith, Buhler "provoked a strike by demanding a gutting of benefits and seniority provisions in the union contract".
