Budhivanta
''Buddhivantha'' ( ''Genius'') is a 2008 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Ramnath Rigvedhi. starring Upendra in the lead role, while Pooja Gandhi, Brinda Parekh, Saloni Aswani, Natanya Singh, and Suman Ranganathan play the female leads. The film is a remake of the 2007 Tamil film '' Naan Avanillai'', which was itself was a remake of 1974 Tamil movie '' Naan Avanillai'' which in turn was based on the 1962 Marathi play ''To Mee Navhech'' ( I Am Not He) written by Pralhad K. Atre. The music was composed by Vijay Antony. The film was released on 26 September 2008. It was supposed to be released on Upendra's birthday, 18 September 2008, but because of the delay in censor certification, the date was postponed to 26 September 2008. It became the highest grossing Kannada film of 2008 and turned out to be a much bigger hit than the original ''Naan Avanillai''. Upendra Rao (known mononymously as Upendra; born 18 September 1968) is an Indian actor, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and politician who works primarily in Kannada cinema. ''Naan Avanillai'' ( ''I'm Not Him'') is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language romantic thriller film directed by Selva. It is a remake of K. Balachander's classic movie with the same title, starring Gemini Ganesan, which was an adaptation of 1962 Marathi language play ''To Mee Navhech'', written by Pralhad K. ''To Mee Navhech'' () is a classic Marathi language, Marathi-language Play (theatre), play written by Prahlad Keshav Atre, Acharya Atre based on the court case of Madhav Kazi, who was an active criminal during the years between 1955 and 1960. Though the protagonist role has been played by many actors since its inception in 1962, the role of Lakhoba Lokhande played by Prabhakar Panshikar is the most memorable. To Mee Navhech is probably the first play in the world where the same actor has to do five completely different roles, not to merely add to novelty value or as a stunt, but because the story demands it. Harini Ramachandran, professionally known as Megha (born 18 March 1987) is a Tamil playback singer, singing predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
