Susan Budge
Susan Budge (b 1959) is an American ceramic sculptor who was born in Midland, Texas. She received a BFA in ceramics from Texas Tech University in 1983, an MA from the University of Houston in 1987, and an MFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1999. She taught at San Jacinto College in Houston, San Antonio College, and the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she became a tenured full professor and Head of Ceramics. Budge is best known for her ''Eye Spy'' sculptures which are abstract and usually monochromatic, except for the presence of a realistic human eye. ''Eye Spy Eros'' from 2010, in the collection of the Honolulu Museum of Art, is an example and demonstrates how the eye can render an otherwise abstract form vaguely anthropomorphic. Austin Kirk Jenkins (born July 5, 1989) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he performs under the ring name Adam Cole. He is also known for his tenures with WWE and Ring of Honor (ROH). Cole began his eight-year tenure with ROH in 2009 and went on to become the first-ever three-time ROH World Champion. Budge Rogers
Derek Prior "Budge" Rogers OBE, born in Bedford on 20 June 1939 and educated at Bedford School, is a former rugby union player who captained Bedford and played at international level for both and the British Lions. His club Bedford recovered after the Second World War and continued to play all the leading teams and had a great spell in the mid-1960s. There were three Bedford players regularly in the England team with David Perry and Rogers captaining their country. In the 1969-1970 season Bedford won the Sunday Telegraph English-Welsh Rugby Table. The Blues finest hour was probably in 1975 when Bedford, captained by Budge Rogers, beat Rosslyn Park in the final of the Knock Out Cup (now EDF Energy Cup) at Twickenham 28-12. Budge Pountney
Anthony Charles 'Budge' Pountney (born 13 November 1973) is a rugby union coach and retired player. A flanker, he played in the Northampton Saints side that won the 1999–2000 Heineken Cup. Pountney was born in Southampton in England, but had a grandmother from the Channel Islands which made him eligible for any of the British national teams. He won 31 caps for Scotland from 1998 to 2002. He was part of the Scotland team that won the 1999 Five Nations Championship, played in the 1999 World Cup, and later captained the team. After retiring, he was head coach and later director of rugby at Northampton. He later worked in club and school coaching. He is now the development director for Ulster Rugby. Edward John Patty (February 11, 1924 – October 4, 2021), better known as Budge Patty, was an American world no. 1 tennis player whose career spanned a period of 15 years after World War II. He won two Grand Slam singles titles in 1950. He was the second American male player to win the Channel Slam (winning the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year) and one of only three as of 2021. Grahame Budge
Grahame Morris Budge (7 November 1920 - 14 November 1979) was a Scotland rugby player. He played four times for Scotland and once for the British Isles against New Zealand. Career He played for various clubs, which included Dunbar RFC, where the club's historian, from a later generation, would record him as being a local lad who played for Dunbar RFC both before and after the Second World War before moving on to play for Edinburgh Wanderers, later still Scotland and finally he was called up for the British Lions in the same year as for Scotland, in 1950. This tour was notable for being the first of the British and Irish Lions tours to occur after The Second World War (the previous tour was in 1938) and the first in which the British and Irish visitors wore red. Don Budge
John Donald Budge (June 13, 1915 – January 26, 2000) was an American tennis player. He is most famous as the first tennis player — male or female, and still the only American male — to win the Grand Slam, and to win all four Grand Slam events consecutively overall. Budge was the second man to complete the career Grand Slam after Fred Perry, and remains the youngest to achieve the feat. He won ten majors, of which six were Grand Slam events (consecutively, a men's record) and four Pro Slams, the latter achieved on three different surfaces. Richard John Budge (19 April 1947 – 18 July 2016) was a coal mining entrepreneur and chairman of The Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisations. Early life He went to Boston Grammar School in Lincolnshire. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Manchester. Budge Budge () is a town and a municipality of the South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is situated on the eastern banks of the Hooghly River. It is a part of the area covered by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).
