Buckley School (New York City)
Buckley School is an independent, K-9 day school for boys located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City, United States. The school has three divisions: Lower School (K-3), Middle School (4-6) and Upper School (7-9), with a student body of approximately 370 pupils and 90 faculty and staff members. The head of school is Gregory J. O’Melia, the sixth head to be appointed since the school's founding in 1913. Buckley is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC). Additionally, it is a charter member of the Manhattan Private Middle School League and the Metropolitan Private Middle School Track and Field Association. Peter G. Livanos (born 1958), is a Greek shipping tycoon. He owns the Greek shipping company Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises, Ceres Hellenic, and was involved in the restructuring of the shipping company into the group Ceres Hellenic. James Harder (actor)
James Harder (November 19, 1931 – January 9, 2009) was an American actor. Born to ''Titanic'' survivor George Achilles Harder and Elizabeth Peebles Rhodes, he was a graduate of Buckley School, St. Mark's School, and Princeton University. He appeared in over 130 stage productions, as well as small roles in films like '' The Telephone Book'', ''Paternity'', and '' Author! Author!'', and TV series like ''Spin City'' and '' Ed''. He also appeared in commercials, most notably playing Big Fig in 1970s Fig Newton commercials, and appearing in several of CTW's "Betcha Don't Know" PSAs in the 1980s. Seymour Parker Gilbert (October 13, 1892 - February 23, 1938) was an American lawyer, banker, politician and diplomat. He is chiefly known for being Agent General for Reparations to Germany, from October 1924 to May 1930. Afterwards, in 1931, he became an associate at J. P. Morgan. The Academy Award for Best Original Score is an award presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to the best substantial body of music in the form of dramatic underscoring written specifically for the film by the submitting composer. Some pre-existing music is allowed, though, but a contending film must include a minimum of original music.
