Buckhurst Hill Football Club is a football club based in Buckhurst Hill, England. They are currently members of the and play at Roding Lane, Buckhurst Hill. History Buckhurst Hill were formed in 1985 by Richard Brand and Alfie Sacre in a bid to provide Buckhurst Hill with youth football. In 2004, Buckhurst Hill joined the Hertfordshire Senior County League. In 2008, the club joined the Essex Olympian League. In 2017, the club won Division One, gaining promotion to the Premier Division, which they also won in 2018. In 2021, the club was admitted into the Eastern Counties League Division One South. In their first season at step 6, they finished as runners-up, losing only two league matches in the season. At the end of the season Buckhurst Hill were allocated a place in the Essex senior league. Buckhurst Hill is an affluent suburban town in the Epping Forest District, Epping Forest district of Essex, England. It is part of the Greater London Urban Area and adjacent to the northern boundary of the London Borough of Redbridge. The area developed following the opening of a railway line in 1856, originally part of the Eastern Counties Railway and now on the Central line (London Underground), Central line of the London Underground. Essex Olympian Football League
The Essex Olympian Football League is a football competition based in England, founded in the 1966–67 season. It has a total of six senior divisions and one under 21 division. The Premier Division sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System and it is a feeder to Division One South of the Eastern Counties Football League. Between 1986 and 2005, the league was known as the Essex Intermediate League. The Eastern Counties Football League, currently known as the Thurlow Nunn League for sponsorship purposes, is an English football league at levels 9 and 10 of the English football league system. FA Vase
The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium. The 2022 winners were Newport Pagnell Town, who beat Littlehampton Town 3–0 at Wembley Stadium. History Until 1974, football players were either professionals or amateurs. 2021–22 FA Vase
The 2021–22 FA Vase (Known for sponsorship reasons as the Buildbase FA Vase) was the 48th season of the FA Vase, an annual football competition for teams playing in Levels 9 and 10 (steps 5 & 6) of the English National League System. The competition is played with two qualifying rounds followed by six proper rounds, semi-finals, and the final played at Wembley Stadium. All ties this season were played to a finish on the day. For this season there were no replays in any of the rounds to minimise fixture congestion due to late start of the football season brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. If games finished level after 90 minutes, the match was decided by penalties to find the winner of the tie, apart from the Final where there were 30 minutes extra time (15 minutes each way) followed by penalties if still level after the extra time period.
