Alex Buchman
Alexander Buchman (1911–2003) was an American Trotskyist. Buchman was born May 16, 1911, in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1933, he traveled to Japan but was deported due to perceived communist ties. Buchman went to China and spent six years in Shanghai, where he encountered Trotskyist Wang Fanxi, a leader of the Chinese Left Opposition. In July 1939 he became publisher of the journal ''Dongxiang''. In 1939, Buchman moved to Mexico. From autumn 1939 to April 1940, Buchman lived in Coyoacán and worked as one of Trotsky's guards. As an amateur photographer, Buchman documented Trotsky's last year of life. Dana Buchman was an upscale men's and women's fashion brand. Its founder, Dana Buchman, is an American fashion designer. The brand, which was most recently carried by Kohl's, was discontinued in 2020. History Dana Buchman has been a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America since 1991 and is currently a board member of the CFDA. Sidney Robert Buchman (March 27, 1902 – August 23, 1975) was an American screenwriter and film producer who worked on about 40 films from the late 1920s to the early 1970s. Alexander Buchmann (born January 24, 1982) is a former Norway, Norwegian team handball, handball player. Biography His last club was US d'Ivry Handball in the French First League of Handball. Georg Büchmann (; 4 January 1822 – 24 February 1884) was a German philologist. He was born in Berlin, and died there in Schöneberg. He studied theology, philology and archaeology in University of Berlin, where his instructors included August Böckh and Theodor Panofka. He worked as a schoolteacher in Brandenburg an der Havel, and later taught language courses at the Friedrich-Werder'schen trade school in Berlin (1854–77). In 1872 he attained the title of professor. He became well known as a result of his 1864 book ''Geflügelte Worte, Der Zitatenschatz des Deutschen Volkes'', a collection of quotations. Specifically, the book (the title of which, loosely translated, is "Winged Words") included literary quotes that had become part of common speech.
