Buchholz In Der Nordheide
Buchholz in der Nordheide (Northern Low Saxon: ''Bookholt'') is the largest town in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 25 km southwest of Hamburg. Geography Buchholz is home to the Brunsberg, at 129m the highest mountain in the region. It is on the northern edge of the Lüneburg Heath (''Lüneburger Heide''), hence the suffix to the name. History In 1958, Buchholz received its city charter. In 1992, Buchholz was struck by a small tornado which destroyed many trees and damaged numerous houses. In 2002, the temperature in Buchholz rose above 38 degrees celsius, marking an all-time high for its region. In 2006, Buchholz tried to set a new world record by placing a crowd of 2000 people in the form of a large heart near the local swimming pool. Matthias Wolfes
Matthias Wolfes (born August 28, 1961, Buchholz in der Nordheide, West Germany) is a German Protestant theologian. Biography and activities In 1998 he earned a PhD in systematic theology from the University of Heidelberg (Dr. theol.), Prof. Wolfgang Huber was his doctoral advisor. In 2002 he received another PhD degree (Dr. phil.) under supervision of Prof. Michael Salewski (University of Kiel). In 1999 he was ordained a minister of the Protestant Church in Berlin-Brandenburg, which is a United church (Lutheran and Reformed tradition). Wolfes has published several substantial studies on the history of theology since the Enlightenment. His research interests focus on modern Protestant theology and ethics. New Apostolic Church
The New Apostolic Church (NAC) is a Christian denomination, Christian church that split from the Catholic Apostolic Church during an 1863 schism in Hamburg, Germany. The church has existed since 1863 in Germany and since 1897 in the Netherlands. It came about from the Schism (religion), schism in Hamburg in 1863, when it separated from the Catholic Apostolic Church, which itself started in the 1830s as a renewal movement in, among others, the Anglican Church and Church of Scotland. Wilhelm Leber (born July 20, 1947) is a German mathematician and formerly chief apostle in the New Apostolic Church. Life Wilhelm Leber was born in Herford in Westphalia. Christel Wegner (born November 16, 1947 in Hamburg) is a German Communist politician. Anton Levi Stach (born 15 November 1998) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Bundesliga club Mainz 05 and the Germany national team.
