Bucheon () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Bucheon is located away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul. Bucheon is the second most densely populated city in South Korea after Seoul, and as a result, administrative districts were abolished in July 2016 in favor of providing greater public service in community centers. Major manufacturing operations are located in the northern areas of the city, while the areas in the south where Seoul Subway Line 7 and Seoul Subway Line 1 pass are dense commercial and residential areas. Yeongdeungpo-gu
Yeongdeungpo District () is an administrative district in southwest Seoul, South Korea. Although the origin of the name is uncertain, the first two syllables are thought to be from "''yeongdeung''" (靈登) or "divine ascent", a shamanic rite. The third syllable is "''po''", representing the bank of a river (浦), referring to the district's position on the Han River. The 2006 population was 408,819. There are 22 administrative "dong" and 34 legal "dong". Yeouido-dong is the largest in area and takes up about 34% of the land. The total area is (2004), making up 4% of Seoul's land. Breakdancing, also called breaking or b-boying/b-girling, is an athletic style of street dance originating from the African American and Puerto Rican communities in the United States. The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (), or BiFan, is an international film festival held annually in July in Bucheon, South Korea. Prior to 2015, it was known as the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival or PiFan. Inaugurated in 1997, the festival focuses on South Korean and international horror, thriller, mystery and fantasy films, with particular attention to Asian cinema from East Asia and Southeast Asia. The 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival was held from 8 to 18 July 2021, it featured 257 films from 47 countries. Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra based in Bucheon, South Korea. Since its foundation in 1988, it has continuously taken up new challenges, capturing the public's attention. Thanks to its performances and wide-ranging repertoire, the Orchestra has grown to become one of South Korea's best orchestras.
