Warren Anderson Mathis (born March 6, 1977), better known by his stage name Bubba Sparxxx, is an American rapper from Georgia. His singles include "Deliverance", " Ugly" (both featuring Timbaland), and " Ms. New Booty" (featuring Ying Yang Twins and Mr. Collipark), the latter of which peaked at number 7 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Early life Mathis grew up in a rural area near LaGrange, Georgia. He is of French descent. His father was a school bus driver, and his mother was a grocery store cashier. His closest neighbor, who lived half a mile away, introduced him to rap music through mixtapes mailed from New York City. "Ugly" is a song by American rapper Bubba Sparxxx, released as the lead single from his debut album, '' Dark Days, Bright Nights''. The song was produced and featured guest vocals from Timbaland. The song features a sample of Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On" and uncredited backing vocals by Elliott's former protégée Tweet. Remix The song's remix features a slightly remixed beat, guest vocals & a new chorus from producer and fellow rapper Timbaland and two verses by rapper Ms. Jade. ''Dark Days, Bright Nights'' is the debut studio album by American hip hop recording artist Bubba Sparxxx from Georgia. It was released on October 9, 2001 via Interscope Records. Recording sessions took place at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, at the Frat House, Down the Hall Studios, 1210 Studios, Mix it in the Mix, and the Dungeon Recording Studio in Atlanta. Production was handled by Shannon Houchins, Timbaland, Khalifani, Organized Noize, and Gerald Hall. It features guest appearances from Timbaland, Backbone, Bohagon, C.I., Duddy Ken, Kosha, Sebastian and Sleepy Brown. Steve Herndon
Steven Marshall Herndon (born May 25, 1977) is a former professional American football guard. Herndon, born and raised in LaGrange, Georgia, attended high school and played on its football team with Warren Mathis, who later became rapper Bubba Sparxxx. Herndon left the NFL in 2005 after knee and neck injuries. Herndon was most remembered for breaking Jamal Williams leg during a game against the San Diego Chargers. The block was extremely controversial and many called for Herndon to be banned for several games. Todd Anthony Shaw (born April 28, 1966), better known by the stage name Too Short (stylized as Too $hort), is an American rapper and record producer. He became famous in the West Coast hip hop scene in the late 1980s, with lyrics often based on pimping and promiscuity, but also drug culture and street survival.
