Bubba Shobert
Don Wayne "Bubba" Shobert (born January 29, 1962 in Lubbock, Texas) is an American former professional motorcycle racer. He was a three-time A.M.A. Grand National Champion from 1985 to 1987 and was AMA Superbike Champion in 1988 while riding for American Honda. In 1989 Shobert moved up to the Grand Prix world championship riding for Honda. Unfortunately, Shobert's Grand Prix career was cut short at the third race of the season, where he was involved in a terrible crash with Kevin Magee on the cool off lap after the race, wherein Shobert drove into the back of Magee's motorcycle. Jamie James (born August 4, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his roles in DQ And The Sharks and Steppenwolf. He was also lead singer and founding member of RSO recording trio The Kingbees. Music career James was initially known as the leader and founder of the rockabilly trio The Kingbees, active between 1978 and 1982. The group included drummer Rex Roberts and bassist Michael Rummans. The Kingbees recorded two albums with David J. Holman, producing on RSO. The first, titled ''The Kingbees'', (released March, 1980) featured the James-penned hit "My Mistake" (#81 on Billboard Hot 100 chart). The second album, titled ''The Big Rock'', was released in March 1981 and also spawned national touring, a performance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand and a cameo role in the movie '' The Idolmaker''. Wayne Rainey
Wayne Wesley Rainey (born October 23, 1960) is an American former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he won the 500cc World Championship three times and the Daytona 200 once. He was characterized by his smooth, calculating riding style, and for his intense rivalry with compatriot Kevin Schwantz, between 1987 and 1993. Racing history Rainey began his career racing in the A.M.A. Grand National Championship, a series that encompassed four distinct dirt track disciplines plus road races. In 1981, he finished the Grand National season as the 15th ranked dirt track racer in the country. Following his success in the Novice 250cc roadrace class, Kawasaki hired him to compete in the 1982 AMA Superbike Championship as a teammate to the then defending National Champion Eddie Lawson.
