Bryndís Einarsdóttir
Bryndís Einarsdóttir (born 29 May 1958) is an Icelandic former footballer who was a member of Iceland's ignaural national team in 1981 where she scored Iceland's first ever goal. Club career She played the majority of her career with Breiðablik. In June 1973, she scored 4 goals in Breiðablik's 14–0 victory against Haukar. On 1 September 1983, she arrived to Breiðablik's game against ÍA straight from Keflavík Airport and was substituted into the game when seven minutes into the second half. Despite her late arrival, she netted two goals in Breiðablik's 3–2 victory. In 1984, she moved to Norwegian club Asker Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Akershus, Norway. Asker Fotball is the football department of Norwegian sports club Asker SK from Asker. The women's football team is one of the most successful clubs ever in Norway, with 6 top flight championships and 5 cup championships. Due to financial difficulties at the end of 2008, the team's licence to play in the Toppserien was revoked; the team members then joined Stabæk IF's football group, Stabæk Fotball, which set up a new women's team. :'' Þjóðviljinn was also the name of a magazine published by Skúli Thoroddsen between 1887 and 1915.'' ''Þjóðviljinn'' () was an Icelandic daily newspaper founded on 31 October 1936. It had close ties with the Communist Party of Iceland and later its successors, the People's Unity Party – Socialist Party and the People's Alliance Party. During the occupation of Iceland in World War II, the editors of the paper, Einar Olgeirsson and Sigfús Sigurhjartarson, and journalist Sigurð Guðmundsson were arrested, accused of spreading propaganda against the British army, and moved to HM Prison Brixton in the United Kingdom for a duration of a few months. The publication of the paper was also banned for a year. In January 1992, the paper ceased publication due to financial difficulties.
