Bryan Zollinger
Bryan N. Zollinger is an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 33rd district from 2016 to 2020. Early life and education Zollinger was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho and graduated from Sugar Salem High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Utah and a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. Career Zollinger practices law in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Previously, he served as a trustee for the Idaho Falls School Board. Idaho House of Representatives Zollinger along with Mike Kingsley launched Idaho Freedom Caucus, late in the 2017 session. In April 2017, Freedom Caucus collaborated to challenge Governor Butch Otter's veto of the Idaho grocery tax. In August 2017, Zollinger said that the conspiracy theory that Barack Obama staged the Unite the Right white supremacist rally was "completely plausible". The Idaho House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Idaho State Legislature. It consists of 70 representatives elected to two-year terms. The state is divided into 35 districts, each of which elects two representatives to separate seats. It meets at the Idaho State Capitol in Boise, Idaho, in the State Capitol Building. Composition of the House The Idaho House of Representatives has been continuously controlled by the Republican Party since the late 1950s, usually by a wide margin. Idaho Freedom Caucus
The Idaho Freedom Caucus (IDFC) is Republican caucus within the Idaho legislature. Membership is open only to elected officials of the Idaho Republican Party platform to join. Founded March 27, 2017, by Mike Kingsley and Bryan Zollinger. It has been part of the State Freedom Caucus Network since January 2023. Issues In April 2017, the IDFC collaborated to challenge Governor Butch Otter's veto of the Idaho grocery tax. In 2023 member Senator Chris Trakel left the Idaho Freedom Caucus. Janice McGeachin
Janice K. McGeachin (; born January 18, 1963) is an American far-right politician and businesswoman serving as the 43rd lieutenant governor of Idaho since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, she was previously a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from 2002 until 2012. Educated at the University of Arizona, McGeachin owned several businesses in Idaho Falls. She entered politics in 2002 when elected to a seat in the state house. She was elected lieutenant governor in the 2018 election, to serve with the governor, Brad Little. She is the first female lieutenant governor of Idaho. As lieutenant governor, McGeachin aligned herself with Donald Trump and frequently clashed with Little.
