Bryan Norrie (born 14 October 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. He played for National Rugby League clubs the Melbourne Storm, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, St George Illawarra Dragons and Penrith Panthers. His usual position was . Early life Born in Forbes, New South Wales. Norrie was educated at Yanco Agricultural High School, and represented the 2001 Australian Schoolboys in three test matches against Great Britain. Norrie also represented his school in the Buckley Shield, Riverina Cup, Nutrigrain Cup, and University Shield. In 2000 and 2001 he was selected for Open boys Riverina and Southern teams. In 2001 Norrie was selected in the state schoolboys side. Professional playing career Norrie made his NRL debut for the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2004. 2013 World Club Challenge
The 2013 World Club Challenge (PROBIZ World Club Challenge for sponsorship purposes) was the fourteenth consecutive annual World Club Challenge and was contested by Super League XVII champions, Leeds Rhinos and 2012 NRL Premiers, the Melbourne Storm. It took place on Friday 22 February at 8pm GMT (Saturday 23 February 7:00am AEDST). Melbourne prevailed after a hard-fought contest 18-14. Background 2013's match was third time ever that these two clubs have played each other, with Leeds having won the 2008 World Club Challenge, and Melbourne winning, and subsequently being stripped of, the 2010 World Club Challenge title. The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. Penrith Panthers
The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL. The team is based west of the centre of Sydney, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Penrith are the current reigning NRL Premiers, having won the title four times. Penrith were admitted to the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition in 1967. Penrith struggled for almost twenty years before finally reaching their first finals series.
