Bryan Hodgson
Bryan Hodgson (born 1987) is an American college basketball coach who is currently serving as an assistant coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Early life Hodgson was born at Olean General Hospital in 1987 to a teenage mother. After his mother's boyfriend placed him on top of a wood stove when he was only a year old, Hodgson was placed in foster care. He was adopted by Larry and Rebecca Hodgson. Raised as a part of a large family in the Western New York communities of Bolivar and then later Jamestown, he graduated from Jamestown High School where he was a member of the Red Raider varsity basketball team. College career Hodgson played collegiately at Jamestown Community College, a NJCAA Region III program, where he served as team captain for two seasons before earning an associate degree in Social Studies. Alabama Crimson Tide Men's Basketball
The Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team represents the University of Alabama in NCAA Division I men's basketball. The program plays in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). In the conference it trails only long-time basketball powerhouse Kentucky in SEC tournament titles, is third behind Kentucky and Arkansas in total wins, and it is also fourth behind Kentucky, LSU, and Tennessee in SEC regular season conference titles. Alabama was retroactively recognized as the pre- NCAA tournament national champion for the 1929–30 season by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. The men's basketball program has spent most of its history in the shadow of Alabama's football team, but has risen in stature over the past several decades. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Nate Oats
Nathanael Justin Oats (born October 13, 1974) is an American basketball coach, currently the head basketball coach at the University of Alabama. Prior to Alabama he was the head coach at the University at Buffalo. Education and playing career Oats grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin, where he was a three-year starter on the Maranatha Academy high school basketball team which went 24–0 in his senior year. He stayed in Watertown after high school, playing college basketball at NCCAA Division II/NCAA Division III Maranatha Baptist University. He was an all-conference player and served as a captain of the Crusaders while earning a bachelor’s degree in math education. He subsequently received a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in kinesiology and exercise science. Coaching career After finishing his playing career at Maranatha Baptist, Oats became a member of the team's coaching staff in 1997, where he remained until 2000.
