Bruza
Shaun Barker, known by the stage name Bruza, is a British grime MC and rapper from Walthamstow, East London. Music career He started his career in 1992 as a member of pop/R&B boy band Chaos who were discovered by Simon Cowell, later becoming known as Ultimate Kaos. He released one single with the group, " Farewell My Summer Love" (originally by Michael Jackson). He soon departed the group due to unknown reasons. Bruza is known for rapping in a Cockney accent. Before grime music emerged in the early 2000s, Bruza was part of the drum and bass collective Reckless Crew going under the name of Chigga D. His Christmas 2003 lyrical clash with Crazy Titch on a now defunct pirate radio station was captured on the DVD release of '' Lord of the Mics 1''. Lord Of The Mics
Lord of the Mics (also known as LOTM) is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad ‘Ratty’ Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MC's participating in recorded clashes, where they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime artists have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, P Money, Big H, and Canadian MC Tre Mission. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published via DVD. LOTM was the first platform that released filmed grime clashes. Clashing is considered to be an important aspect of grime music due to the influence of Jamaican sound clashing. Ultimate Kaos
Ultimate Kaos (stylised as Ultimate KAOS) were a British boyband from the 1990s, who were formed by Simon Cowell. Its original members comprised Jomo Baxter, Jayde Spence, Ryan Elliott, Nick Grant and the then 9 years old Haydon Eshun. Career In 1992, the band were originally known as Chaos, but their only single issued under this name was a cover version of the Michael Jackson song " Farewell My Summer Love". Before they released the single, they were Sinitta's backing dancers, as Sinitta at the time, was dating Cowell. Haydon Eshun had previously appeared on Michael Barrymore's TV programme showcasing British talent. Grime (music)
Grime is a genre of electronic music that emerged in London in the early 2000s. It developed out of the earlier UK dance style UK garage, and draws influences from jungle, dancehall, and hip hop. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 140 beats per minute, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. Emceeing is a significant element of the style, and lyrics often revolve around gritty depictions of urban life. Drum and bass (also written as drum & bass or drum'n'bass and commonly abbreviated as D&B, DnB, or D'n'B) is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by fast breakbeats (typically 165–185 beats per minute) with heavy bass and sub-bass lines, samples, and synthesizers. Carl Dobson (born 31 January 1983), better known by his stage name Crazy Titch, is a British grime MC who is now serving a life sentence for murder. Crazy Titch was a successful and well-known grime MC during his active period. Early life and education Dobson was born in Plaistow, East London. As a teenager Dobson spent five years in Feltham Young Offenders' Institute for robbery, handling stolen goods, theft, burglary and criminal damage; On his release in 2003 Dobson turned his attention to grime music.
