Bruno Sutter (footballer)
Bruno Sutter (born 16 April 1977) is a retired Switzerland, Swiss Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Club career Sutter spent his early years until he was 16, at FC Tössfeld in Winterthur, after which he moved to FC Oerlikon and a year later to Swiss 1. Liga (football), Swiss 1. Liga club SC Young Fellows Juventus. After only one season, Sutter joined FC Basel in the Swiss Super League, Nationalliga A for their 1995–96 FC Basel season, 1995–96 season under head coach Claude Andrey, signing his first professional contract. Sutter played his debut for his new club in the home game in the St. Jakob Stadium the 1995 UEFA Intertoto Cup match on 24 June 1995. He was substituted in during the 69th minute as Basel won 1–0 against Sheffield Wednesday F.C., Sheffield Wednesday. Langenthal
Langenthal is a town and a municipality in the district of Oberaargau in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. On 1 January 2010 the municipality of Untersteckholz merged into the Langenthal. On 1 January 2021 the former municipality of Obersteckholz merged into Langenthal. Langenthal is an educational, cultural, and economic center for the region of Oberaargau. History Archeological evidence suggests that early settlements existed around 4000 B.C. in the Langenthal area. A Hallstatt necropolis with twelve grave mounds has been found at Unterhard. Remnants of two Roman villae have also been identified. Langenthal is first mentioned in 861, as ''marcha in Langatun'', referring to farming estates scattered along the Langete (a tributary of the Murg). Claude "Didi" Andrey (born 13 June 1951) is a former Swiss footballer, who most recently managed Yverdon-Sport FC in the Challenge League. Andrey took over FC Basel for their 1993–94 season. The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. FC Aarau
FC Aarau is a Swiss football club based in Aarau. They play in the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of Swiss football after being relegated from Swiss Super League. History FC Aarau was formed on 26 May 1902 by workers from a local brewery. The early days of the club were a success and they won the Swiss championship in 1911–12 and then again in 1913–14. The club spent 25 years, from 1907 to 1933, in the top league but were relegated to the lower league and were unable to return to the top flight for a number of decades.
