Bruce Reid Jr.
Bruce Reid (born 23 December 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray and Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Reid made his league debut against St Kilda in round 5 of the 1977 season. His father Bruce Reid Sr. and brother John Reid were also league footballers. Sandhurst Football Club
The Sandhurst Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Dragons'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in Bendigo, Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Sandhurst is the former name of that city. The club teams currently compete in the Bendigo Football League, Bendigo Football Netball League. The football team is the second most-winning team of the BFL, with 27 premierships. History Sandhurst, who were then known as the Maroons, were one of the league's foundation clubs in 1880. They had been formed in June 1861, by Melbourne Football Club rulemaker J. B. Thompson. The club did not play in the BFL from 1901 to 1914, but returned to the league after the war in 1919, and have appeared in every season since. Sam Reid (Australian Footballer Born 1991)
Sam Reid (born 27 December 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted to Sydney with the 38th selection in the 2009 AFL draft, becoming a third generation footballer at AFL/VFL level. His grandfather Bruce Reid senior played for Footscray, his father Bruce Reid, for Footscray and Carlton and his uncle John Reid for Melbourne, Footscray and Sydney. He is also the younger brother of Collingwood premiership player Ben Reid. Reid made one senior appearance in his first season at the Swans, making his debut in Round 22, 2010 against the Brisbane Lions he finished the match with 13 disposals, 8 marks and a goal. 2010 AFL Grand Final
The 2010 AFL Grand Final was a series of two Australian rules football matches between the Collingwood Football Club and the St Kilda Football Club. They are considered the 114th and 115th grand finals of the Australian Football League (formerly the Victorian Football League), and were staged to determine the premiers for the 2010 AFL season. The premiership is usually decided by a single match; however, as the first grand final ended in a draw, a grand final replay was played the following week and was won by Collingwood. Ben Reid
Ben Reid (born 29 April 1989) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood in the Australian Football League (AFL). Personal life Reid grew up in Wangaratta Victoria, attending Galen Catholic College. He is the son of former Footscray and Carlton player, Bruce Reid. His younger brother Sam Reid also plays AFL football for the Sydney Swans. AFL career Reid was taken with Collingwood's first pick in the 2006 AFL Draft, pick number eight, and was handed the number 20 guernsey which was vacated by Chris Tarrant, after he was traded to the Fremantle Dockers. John Reid (Australian Footballer)
John Reid (born 25 February 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne, Footscray and the Sydney Swans in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Reid had a slow start to his career, after appearing just once in the 1972 VFL season, he did not play a senior game in 1973 and was used just twice in 1974. In 1975 he moved to Footscray, the club that his father Bruce Reid senior had played for. A defender, he played just one game in each of his first two seasons. At the age of 24 he finally put together a sequence of appearances when he played in all but one fixture from round 10 of the 1977 season. He was joined at Footscray by his brother, Bruce Reid junior, in 1977. For the next four years he was a regular member of the side.
