Bruce L. Douglas
Bruce Lee Douglas (born July 14, 1925) is an American former politician in the state of Illinois. Biography Douglas was born in New York City, New York in 1925 and received bachelor, doctorate and masters degrees, and professional diplomas from Princeton University, Columbia University, New York University, and the University of California. He served as an intern and resident at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, New York from 1948-1949 and 1951-1952. He is a retired Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Professor of Health and Aging at the School of Public Health and Professor of Oral Medicine at the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois. Douglas served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War and was a member of the Naval Reserve for twelve years. The Illinois House of Representatives is the lower house of the Illinois General Assembly. The body was created by the first Illinois Constitution adopted in 1818. The House under the current constitution as amended in 1980 consists of 118 representatives elected from individual legislative districts for two-year terms with no limits; redistricted every 10 years, based on the 2010 U.S. census each representative represents approximately 108,734 people.
