Bruce Clark (American Football)
Bruce M. Clark (March 31, 1957) is a former American college and professional football player who was a defensive end in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons during the 1980s. Clark played college football at Penn State University, where he was an All-American. He was the fourth pick overall in the 1980 NFL Draft, but chose to play for the CFL's Toronto Argonauts before joining the NFL's New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs. Early years Clark was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania. College career Clark attended Penn State University, where he played for coach Joe Paterno's Penn State Nittany Lions football team from 1976 to 1979. New Castle, Pennsylvania
New Castle is a city in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, United States, and the county seat of Lawrence County. Quarterback Sack
In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the " pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure. Joe Paterno
Joseph Vincent Paterno (; December 21, 1926 – January 22, 2012), sometimes referred to as JoePa, was an American college football player, athletic director, and coach. He was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions football, Penn State Nittany Lions from 1966 to 2011. With 409 victories, Paterno is the most victorious coach in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, NCAA FBS history. He recorded his 2011 Penn State Nittany Lions football team#October 29 vs. Illinois, 409th victory on October 29, 2011; his career ended with his dismissal from the team on November 9, 2011, as a result of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.
