Carlos Ricardo Bruce Montes de Oca (born 24 February 1957) is a Peruvian politician and a former Congressman, representing Lima from 2006 until 2019, when his term ended with the dissolution of the Congress by Martín Vizcarra in 2019. William Bruce-Lyle
William Stacey Bruce-Lyle was a Ghanaian jurist, justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana and Justice of the Supreme Court of Zambia. Early life and education Bruce-Lyle was born on 13 October 1919 in Accra. His primary education was at Government Boys' School, Accra. He had his secondary education at Mfantsipim School and left in 1937. He proceeded to London to study law at the inns of court school of law. He was called to the bar at Gray's Inn, London in 1940. Career After secondary school, Bruce-Lyle worked as a second division clerk at Ghana Civil Service until 1946. He was appointed district magistrate in 1953, senior magistrate in 1958 and circuit judge in 1960. He was appointed judge of the high court in 1961 and he served in that capacity for three years. Frederick Bruce-Lyle
Frederick Victor Bruce-Lyle (6 August 1953 – 21 April 2016) was a Ghanaian-born jurist who was a judge in several Caribbean countries. Born in Accra, Ghana, Bruce-Lyle was the second son of Ghana's Supreme Court judge and Supreme Court judge of Zambia, William Bruce-Lyle, and the grandson of Sir Leslie McCarthy. He was educated at Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast, the Accra Academy and the University of Ghana, where he attained a Bachelor of Laws degree. From 1979 to 1984, Bruce-Lyle was a State advocate in Zambia, before moving to the Caribbean where he served as a Magistrate in Belize (1984–89); Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (1989–93); the British Virgin Islands (1993–97); and Antigua and Barbuda (1997–99). Fiona Claire Bruce (''née'' Riley; born 26 March 1957) is a British Conservative Party politician who was elected the Member of Parliament (MP) for Congleton in the 2010 general election. Early life Fiona Claire Riley was born on 26 March 1957 in Wick, Caithness, Scotland to Allan Stewart and Greta Riley (née Scott). She attended Burnley High School for Girls, and the private Howell's School, Llandaff in Cardiff. Edward Bruce, 1st Lord Kinloss PC (1548 – 14 January 1611) was a Scottish lawyer and judge. He was the second son of Edward Bruce of Blairhall and Alison Reid. Career In 1594 James VI sent him as ambassador to London and gave him £1,000 Scots for his expenses. With James Colville, he was sent to invite Queen Elizabeth to send a representative to the baptism of Prince Henry, discuss the matter of the Earl of Bothwell, Catholics in Scotland, and ask for the yearly sum of money that Elizabeth gave to James VI. They were to ensure the money was paid to Thomas Foulis. He also requested the rendition of Anne of Denmark's goldsmith Jacob Kroger who had fled to England with the queen's jewels. Edward Bruce
Edward Bruce, Earl of Carrick ( Norman French: ; mga, Edubard a Briuis; Modern Scottish Gaelic: gd, Eideard or ; – 14 October 1318), was a younger brother of Robert the Bruce, King of Scots. He supported his brother in the 1306–1314 struggle for the Scottish crown, then pursued his own claims in Ireland. Proclaimed High King of Ireland in 1315 and crowned in 1316, he was eventually defeated and killed by Anglo-Irish forces of the Lordship of Ireland at the Battle of Faughart in County Louth. Edgar Bruce
Edgar Bruce (c. 1845–1901) was an English actor-manager, appearing in comedies and later producing plays. He built the Prince of Wales Theatre in 1884. Life Bruce's first stage appearance was in 1868 at the Prince of Wales's Theatre in Liverpool. Earle Bruce
Earle Bruce (March 8, 1931 – April 20, 2018) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at the University of Tampa (1972), Iowa State University (1973–1978), Ohio State University (1979–1987), the University of Northern Iowa (1988), and Colorado State University (1989–1992), compiling a career college football record of 154–90–2. At Ohio State, Bruce succeeded the legendary Woody Hayes and won four Big Ten Conference titles. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2002. Bruce returned to coaching in 2001 to helm the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League for a season and also later guided the Columbus Destroyers.
