Browns Yard is a community in Weldford Parish, New Brunswick located 4.5 km NE of Fords Mills close to the intersection of Route 490 and Route 510. The church iSt. Paul'sAnglican and it features aold cemeterywhere some of the earliest settlers to Weldford were buried and the church continues to be the center of family life with activities for children, youth and many family events hosted at their church hall. Browns Yard is the location of the ''Annual Fishing Derby'' with around 200 participants enjoying a day full of family fun with a BBQ and chances to win prizes for the biggest fish and guessing the size of a salmon. Weldford is a civil parish in Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it is divided between Richibucto 15 Indian reserve and the local service district of the parish of Weldford, which is a member of the Kent Regional Service Commission (KRSC). Origin of name Weldford was a portmanteau of the names of the two Kent County Members of the Legislative Assembly in 1835, John W. Weldon and John P. Ford. Route 510 is a long north–south secondary highway in the northwest portion of New Brunswick, Canada. The route's northern terminus is at Route 470 in the community of Mundleville. The road runs parallel to the south bank of the Richibucto River as it travels south-west. The road continues to the community of Lower Main River and continues on to Targettville and Browns Yard. In Browns Yard, the road merges with Route 490 near Jerrys Island. The road then continues following the Richibucto River, separates from Route 490, and eventually ends in Fords Mills at Route 470. The Elsipogtog First Nation , formerly called the Big Cove Band, is a Miꞌkmaq First Nations band government in New Brunswick, Canada. The First Nation's territory comprises Richibucto Reserve #15, lying southwest of Rexton, New Brunswick on the Richibucto River off of Route 116. It also comprises Soegao Reserve #35, lying west of Moncton, New Brunswick. , the registered Elsipogtog population is 3,313, with 2,587 living on reservations and 726 living off reservations. History "Elsipogtog" or "L'sipuktuk" means "River of Fire". The area was also called the stronghold of Sikniktuk. The traditional district was assigned to the Mi'kmaq clan of Alguimou, or L'kimu. Misel Alguimou was baptised Michael Augustine in the 18th century. Richibucto is a town in Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada. Geography The town is situated on the Richibucto River where it discharges into the Northumberland Strait. History Richibucto had been the location of an annual Mi'kmaq summer coastal community prior to British colonisation. The town takes its name from "Elsipogtog" or "L'sipuktuk" Mi'kmaq terms meaning "river of fire". It is believed the term was mispronounced, or misunderstood from the Mi'kmaq language. Five Rivers is a village in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It was formed through the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reforms. It encompasses the former village of Rexton. History Five Rivers was incorporated on January 1, 2023. Notable people Five Rivers (Kingston at the time) was the birthplace of Bonar Law, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1922–1923. Until the election of Boris Johnson in 2019, who was born in New York City, Law was the only British Prime Minister to be born outside the British Isles.
