__NOTOC__ Brownlow is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia about north-east of the Adelaide city centre Its boundaries were created for the “long established name” for the western part in August 2000 which is located within the Regional Council of Goyder and for the eastern part in March 2003 which is located within the Mid Murray Council. The name comes from the older cadastral land division in which Brownlow lies, the Hundred of Brownlow, which was named for Charles Henry Brownlow. The principal land use within the locality is agriculture involving "extensive grazing." Brownlow is located within the federal divisions of Barker and Grey, the state electoral district of Stuart and the local government areas of the Mid Murray Council and Regional Council of Goyder. Cadastral Divisions Of South Australia
The lands administrative divisions of South Australia are the cadastral (i.e., comprehensively surveyed and mapped) units of counties and hundreds in South Australia. They are located only in the south-eastern part of the state, and do not cover the whole state. 49 counties have been proclaimed across the southern and southeastern areas of the state historically considered to be arable and thus in need of a cadastre. The Hundred of Anna is a cadastral unit of hundred in South Australia. It contains all or most of the localities of Steinfeld, Annadale and Sandleton and small parts of the localities of Dutton East, Truro and Sedan. It is one of the 16 hundreds of the County of Eyre. The hundred was named in 1860 by Governor Richard Graves MacDonnell after a daughter of James Chambers who had funded four of John McDouall Stuart's expeditions. The Hundred of Beatty, formerly the Hundred of Krichauff is a cadastral unit of hundred located in the Murraylands of South Australia spanning the localities of Beatty and Mount Mary. History The hundred was proclaimed in 1883 in the County of Eyre and named 'Krichauff' for the state parliamentarian Friedrich Krichauff. In 1888 the District Council of Morgan was established in the area as part of the District Councils Act 1887. It included seven hundreds in addition to the Hundred of Beatty.
