Christine Van Broeckhoven
Christine Van Broeckhoven (born 9 April 1953) is a Belgian molecular biologist and professor in Molecular genetics at the University of Antwerp ( Antwerp, Belgium). She is also leading the VIB Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Antwerp of the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology ( VIB). Christine Van Broeckhoven does research on Alzheimer dementia, bipolar mental disorders and other neurological diseases. Since 1983 she has had her own laboratory for molecular genetics at the University of Antwerp, and since 2005 is focussing her research on neurodegenerative brain diseases. She is an associate editor of the scientific journal ''Genes, Brain and Behavior''. Steven Van Broeckhoven (27 September 1985) is a Belgium, Belgian Windsurfing, windsurfer, specialized in Windsurfing#Freestyle, freestyle. In 2010 he was ranked #4 on the PWA overall ranking Freestyle Men. Training Steven Van Broeckhoven had his first windsurfing experiences at the Vossemeren in Lommel, Belgium. After learning the basics, he started windsurfing at Grevelingen, Lake Grevelingen in the Netherlands. Nowadays he trains at Tarifa, Kaapstad and Bonaire, but still refers to Lake Grevelingen as his homespot. Wiet Van Broeckhoven (19 September 1949 – 4 January 2019) was a Belgian radio presenter and writer, best known as the host of the radio music shows ''Njam Njam'' and ''Hitbox''. He was known for his Beatle haircut and knack for humorous one-liners. Life and career Originally a civil servant, he presented the music shows ''Njam Njam'' and ''Hitbox'' on Radio 2, where Etienne Smet made the musical selections. Van Broeckhoven was known for his playful style, coming up with humorous one-liners and puns in between musical segments. Many of these quotes and one-liners were later compiled in various books. Jean II de Brouchoven, 2nd Count of Bergeyck (October 9, 1644 - May 21, 1725), was a Flemish politician who later was recognised as Baron of Leefdael. Life He was the son of Jean-Baptiste de Brouchoven, 1st Count of Bergeyck, and Helena Fourment, Countess of Bergeyck. His younger brother Hyacinthe-Marie de Brouchoven was president of the Great Council. Jean married Livina Marie de Beer-Meulebeke, and became the father of Nicholas de Brouchoven, 3rd Count of Bergeyck. Hyachinthe-Marie de Brouchoven (1650–1707), Lord of Steen and Spy, was a Flemish nobleman who became president of the Great Council of Mechelen. Family He was born the son of Jean-Baptiste de Brouchoven, Count of Bergeyck, and his wife Hélène Fourment. His elder brother, Jean de Brouchoven, became the second count of Bergeyck.
