Brothers (TNG Episode)
"Brothers" is the 77th episode of the syndicated American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'', the third episode of the fourth season. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship ''Enterprise-D''. In this episode, Commander Data (Brent Spiner) aborts an emergency mission and hijacks the ''Enterprise'' in response to a homing command from his "father". Plot A misguided prank between two young brothers exposes the younger of them to a toxic parasite that cannot be treated aboard the USS ''Enterprise'', but Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) is able to stabilize his condition in a controlled environment in sickbay while the ship sets out for a starbase that can cure the boy. Data is a fictional character in the '' Star Trek'' franchise. ''Empire'' is a British film magazine published monthly by Bauer Consumer Media. The first issue was published in May 1989. History David Hepworth of Emap, the publisher of British music magazines '' Q'' and ''Smash Hits'', among other titles, came up with the idea to publish a magazine similar to ''Q'', but for films. They recruited ''Smash Hits'' editor Barry McIlheney to edit the new magazine, with Hepworth as Editorial Director. Hepworth produced a one-page document of what he wanted to achieve. Among them, they planned to review and rate every film that was released in the cinema in the United Kingdom. Michael Piller
Michael Piller (May 30, 1948 – November 1, 2005) was an American television scriptwriter and producer, who was best known for his contributions to the ''Star Trek'' franchise. Early life and career Piller was born to a Jewish family in Port Chester, New York. With parents who were both involved in writing; Gene Piller, his father, was a Hollywood screenwriter and his mother, Ruth Roberts, was a songwriter. He planned to be a scriptwriter from an early age, but a college lecturer discouraged him, and Piller started out in television working as an Emmy Award-winning journalist for CBS News in New York, WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, and WBBM-TV in Chicago, Illinois. Transporters allow for teleportation by converting a person or object into an energy pattern (a process called "dematerialization"), then sending ("beaming") it to a target location or else returning it to the transporter, where it is reconverted into matter ("rematerialization"). Sick Bay
A sick bay is a compartment in a ship, or a section of another organisation, such as a school or college, used for medical purposes. The sick bay contains the ship's medicine chest, which may be divided into separate cabinets, such as a refrigerator for medicines requiring cold storage and a locked cabinet for controlled substances such as morphine. The sick bay and the medicine chest should be kept locked, with the keys only being available to the medical officer and the ship's master. The term is also applied ashore by the United States Navy and Marine Corps to treatment clinics on naval stations and Marine bases.
