Broomfield Park, Palmers Green
Broomfield Park is a 21 hectare public park in Palmers Green in the London Borough of Enfield. It is a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation and is registered by English Heritage in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens for its special historic interest History The park was the garden of Broomfield House, which was built in the sixteenth century, although the oldest part of the present house is about 200 years old. Rocque's map of Middlesex in 1754 shows the park with its current boundaries, with ponds and an avenue. Three of the four ponds date from the eighteenth century, but the northernmost one was created early in the twentieth. In 1902 Southgate Urban District Council purchased the house and grounds, and they were opened to the public in 1903. The house was gutted by fires in the 1980s and 1990s and has remained in a derelict state since then. Broomfield Park
Broomfield Park was a association football, football stadium in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, home of Airdrieonians F.C. (1878), Airdrieonians from 1892 until it was closed after the 1993–94 in Scottish football, 1993–94 football season. Airdrieonians F.C. was formed in 1878 and the club opened Broomfield in 1892. The Broomfield corner pavilion was built in 1907. After winning the 1923–24 Scottish Cup, the club built a main stand, adjacent to the pavilion. The Scottish football attendance records, record attendance at Broomfield Park was 24,000, in a Scottish Cup quarter-final match against Heart of Midlothian F.C., Hearts on 8 March 1952. Floodlights were installed in 1956, and a roof was built over the Enclosure (opposite the main stand) in 1959. The ground was unusually narrow, at just wide, and was built in a natural hollow. The Excelsior Stadium, is a football stadium in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Airdrieonians of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Since the 2021–22 season it has also been used by Celtic for the home matches of their women's team in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) and B team in the Scottish Lowland Football League, as well as by Glasgow University F.C. of the West of Scotland Football League. The Broomfield Rowhouse is located at 2502-2504 Lake Street in the Near North Side neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. It was designed by African American architect Clarence W. Broomfield School is a secondary school located in Arnos Grove, Enfield, Greater London. History Arnos School was founded in 1938 on Broomfield School's current site and took on the senior pupils of Bowes School, which thus became exclusively a primary school. It later became a secondary modern school. Extensions were made to the original site in 1948 and 1957. In 1960, Minchenden School took over the buildings in Fox Lane, Palmers Green that had been vacated by the move of Southgate County School to its current site in Sussex Way, Cockfosters. The Arnos School buildings were further extended in 1964 and 1966. Broomfield House
Broomfield House is a building of historical interest located in Broomfield Park, Palmers Green, north London. Built during the 16th century, it was damaged by fires in 1984, 1993, 1994 and 2019. History Broomfield House was sold to London merchant Joseph Jackson in 1624 after several previous occupants. During the 150 years that the Jackson family were in possession of the house, the house was internally remodelled to a considerable extent. The grand staircase was built and murals were painted by Gerard Lanscroon, and the surrounding Broomfield Park was created. During the late 18th century to early 19th century the once U-shaped building was altered into a rectangular shape, enclosing the once east-facing courtyard.
