Brookside, Edmonton
Brookside is a residential neighbourhood in south west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley and Whitemud Creek ravine. It is bounded to the west and south by Whitemud drive, Whitemud Drive. The boundary on the north is the North Saskatchewan River valley, while the boundary on the east is Whitemud Creek. Demographics In the City of Edmonton's 2012 municipal census, Brookside had a population of living in dwellings, a -1.8% change from its 2009 population of . Brookside Gardens
The Brookside Gardens are public gardens located within Wheaton Regional Park, at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland. The gardens themselves are open daily without charge. However, certain annual events there are held that may charge a fee. The gardens hosts a "Garden of Lights" exhibit that features a light display during the holiday season. History The garden grounds were originally part of a landscaping and garden center on a small farm owned by Stadler Nurseries. Brookside Gardens opened to the public on July 13, 1969, with a conservatory and developed as gardens. The landscaping and conservatory were designed by Hans Hanses and Carl Schoening, respectively. Brookside Museum, sometimes known as the Aldridge House, is located on the western edge of downtown Ballston Spa, New York, United States. It is a wooden house built in 1792, one of the oldest in the village, but modified since then. It was originally used as an inn for visitors to the spring waters that gave the village its name, very near its location. The inn had several famous guests; for example, James Fenimore Cooper is said to have written some of ''The Last of the Mohicans'' during his stay.
