The ringing of Bronach’s bell warned of a rising storm on the dangerous waters of the Lough. Bronagh Gallagher (born 26 April 1972) is an Irish singer and actress from Northern Ireland. Gallagher had her first acting role in the 1989 television movie '' Dear Sarah''. In 2020, she was listed at number 33 on ''The Irish Times'' list of Ireland's greatest film actors. Early life During her teenage years, she got involved in drama and music activities through school and joined a local amateur dramatics group called the Oakgrove Theatre Company. Bronágh Taggart is an Irish actress and writer, born in Belfast. She has appeared in BAFTA-winning ''Occupation'', '' Best: His Mother's Son'', and '' The Fall'' and has written for BBC Northern Ireland series ''6Degrees'' since it first aired in 2012. In 2013, she wrote a half-hour film, ''Call it a Night'', for broadcast on Channel 4 as part of the late-night '' Coming Up'' series. In 2017, Taggart wrote, produced and starred in ''Guard'', a female-led boxing film directed by Jonathan Harden. Bronagh Waugh (born 6 October 1982) is an actress from Northern Ireland. She played Cheryl Brady in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' from 2009 to 2013. At the 2010 British Soap Awards, Waugh was nominated for awards for Best Newcomer, Best Actress and Best Comedy Performance for her portrayal of Cheryl.
