Idrottsföreningen Brommapojkarna, more commonly known as Brommapojkarna (meaning ''the Bromma boys'') or simply BP, is a Swedish football club located in the borough of Bromma, in the western parts of Stockholm municipality. Brommapojkarna is the largest football club in Europe in terms of the number of active teams of all ages – in 2007 there were 247 teams and 3,000 players. The women's team plays in Damallsvenskan, the first tier and the men's team plays in the Superettan, the second tier. The club is famous for its youth academy, which has produced numerous top-quality Swedish players throughout the years. The club is affiliated to the Stockholms Fotbollförbund. The 2022 Superettan is part of the 2022 Swedish football season, and the 22nd season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football division in its current format. Olof Mellberg
Erik Olof Mellberg (; born 3 September 1977) is a Swedish football manager and former professional player. During his career, Mellberg played as a defender, and is best known for his time at Aston Villa, as well as spells with Juventus and Greek side Olympiacos. Mellberg played for Sweden in the 2002 World Cup and 2006 World Cup, as well as the Euro 2000, Euro 2004, Euro 2008 and Euro 2012. A former captain of the national team, he scored 8 goals in 117 caps between 2000 and 2012. John Guidetti
John Alberto Guidetti (, ; born 15 April 1992) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a striker for AIK. Whilst growing up Guidetti played football in his native Sweden as well as Kenya. He returned to Sweden in 2008 and played with IF Brommapojkarna when at the age of 16 he earned a move to English club Manchester City. He spent time out on loan back at Brommapojkarna and with Championship side Burnley in November 2010. He joined Dutch club Feyenoord on loan for the 2011–12 season where he scored 20 goals in 23 games before a virus ended his time in the Netherlands. In January 2014, Guidetti joined Stoke City on loan until the end of the 2013–14 season, and in September of that year he was loaned to Scottish champions Celtic for the following season, winning the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup. Philip Hellquist
Philip Hellquist (born 21 May 1991) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a forward for Brommapojkarna. Career Hellquist grew up in the Stockholm suburb Kista, and began playing football in Djurgården's youth team at the age of five. He was named for the Swedish U17 national team in a friendly against Latvia in April 2007. The game was his debut in any of the Swedish national teams, and he also scored the last goal in the 6–0 victory. He drew attention from English club Arsenal, which offered him a place in their U17-team. No transfer was made due to a hip injury. Hellquist also had a trial at Birmingham City and Italian club Empoli showed interest in him. He began playing with the senior team during the 2008 pre-season. Nicklas Maripuu (born 2 March 1992) is a Sweden, Swedish Association football, footballer who plays for IF Brommapojkarna, Brommapojkarna as a midfielder. Superettan
Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. The second tier of Swedish football had previously consisted of a varying number of regionalized leagues operating under the Division 2 (1924–1986) and Division 1 (1987–1999) names. Bojan Djordjic ( or Bojan Đorđić; born 6 February 1982) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Rodin Cem Deprem (born 23 May 1998) is a Swedish footballer who plays for Brommapojkarna. Club career Rynninge IK Deprem spent the first years of his childhood in the city of Gävle before moving to Örebro at the age of six. In his new home town Deprem started playing football for the local club Rynninge IK. Oscar Krusnell (born 17 February 1999) is a Swedish footballer who plays for IF Brommapojkarna as a left-back. Early life Krusnell was born in Stockholm and grew up in the borough of Årsta. He started his footballing career as a youngster at local club Enskede IK. In 2013, at age 14, he joined the youth system of Allsvenskan club AIK. He quickly moved up the ranks and represented the sides U17s, U19s and U21s during the following years. He made his senior debut for AIK in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2015 Allsvenskan season. In July 2015, Krusnell signed a three year-deal with Sunderland in Premier League. At age 16, he became the first youth academy player to ever get transferred abroad from AIK.
