Bromelton is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Bromelton had a population of 155 people. Geography The Beaudesert–Boonah Road (State Route 90) runs through from east to north. History Bromelton Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 (a receiving office had been open by 1883) and closed in 1938. In 1842, Hugh Henry Robertson settled a run at Bromelton, becoming the first European to reside in the Logan River valley. Bromelton Provisional School opened on 25 October 1880. On 1 January 1909 it became Bromelton State School. It closed on 1953. Allen's Creek Provisional School opened on 4 October 1927 and closed on 18 September 1929. It was a railway camp school and provided schooling for children of workers building the Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor. The Logan River ( Yugambeh: ''Dugulumba'') is a perennial river located in the Scenic Rim, Logan and Gold Coast local government areas of the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The -long river is one of the dominant waterways in South East Queensland that drains the southern ranges of the Scenic Rim and empties into Moreton Bay after navigating the City of Logan, a major suburban centre located south of Brisbane. The ''Beaudesert Times'' is a newspaper published in Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia. History The newspaper was a result of the merger of two existing newspapers, The Beaudesert Despatch and Logan and Albert Leader and The Beaudesert Herald with politician Patrick James Leahy holding the controlling interest. John Adamson Walker and F. Parker had formerly run the Herald and they became manager and editor respectively of the new paper. After Parker left, Walker became the managing editor. The first issue was published on 10 October 1908; it cost threepence. In March 1967 it was renamed the Logan and Albert Times, but returned to being the Beaudesert Times in 1985. History SCT Logistics was founded in 1974 as Specialised Container Transport.
