British Record Industry Trust
The British Record Industry Trust (BRIT Trust) is a recorded music charity in the UK, established in 1989 by UK record labels. Its mission is to "improve lives through the power of music and the creative arts". It is directed by a team of trustees, led by Tony Wadsworth, who was appointed chair of The BRIT Trust in February 2021, taking over from John Craig. It is funded largely by money raised each year by the BRIT Awards and also by the annual Music Industry Trust awards dinners (MITS), and has made more than 230 grant commitments totalling over £27 million to a wide range of causes and charities. Leona Lewis
Leona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British singer, songwriter, actress and activist. Mind (charity)
Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), it celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016. Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health. Since 1982, it has awarded an annual prize for "Book of the Year" having to do with mental health, in addition to three other prizes. Since 2008 Mind has hosted the annual Mind Media Awards, celebrating the best portrayals and reporting of mental health across the media. British Phonographic Industry (BPI) is the British recorded music industry's Trade association. It runs the BRIT Awards, the Classic BRIT Awards, National Album Day, is home to the Mercury Prize, and co-owns the Official Charts Company with the Entertainment Retailers Association, and awards UK music sales through the BRIT Certified Awards. East London Arts & Music (also known as ELAM) is a free school sixth form located in Bromley-by-Bow in East London, England. History Established in 2014, ELAM is for students aged 16 to 19 who wish to pursue a career in music, games design or film and TV. In April 2017 ELAM moved into its permanent home in Bromley-by-Bow, East London. Prior to this ELAM was based at School 21 in Stratford. Nordoff–Robbins Music Therapy
The Nordoff–Robbins approach to music therapy is a therapy developed for children with psychological, physical, or developmental disabilities. It developed from the 17-year collaboration of Paul Nordoff and Clive Robbins beginning in 1958, and its early development was influenced by Rudolph Steiner and anthroposophical philosophy and teachings.
