The British Rail Class 777 ''METRO'' is a class of electric multiple unit passenger trains currently under construction by Swiss rolling stock manufacturer Stadler Rail, to be used on the Merseyrail network in the Liverpool City Region and the Wirral Peninsula. Ordered in 2016, construction of the units began in 2018. Deployment has been delayed, but , the trains are expected to enter service in 2023. The Class 777 will replace Merseyrail's current and units, which were built between 1978 and 1980. The London Underground 1973 Stock is a type of rolling stock used on the Piccadilly line of the London Underground. London Underground 1972 Stock
The London Underground 1972 Stock is a type of rolling stock used on the London Underground. The 1972 Stock was originally ordered to make up the shortfall in trains on the Northern line's 1959 Tube Stock fleet, but is nowadays used on the Bakerloo line. Following the withdrawal of the British Rail Class 483 EMUs in 2021, these trains are the oldest EMUs in passenger service in Britain.
