Gorka Brit Gallego (born 19 April 1978) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He amassed Segunda División totals of 177 games and 59 goals over six seasons, in representation of Eibar, Salamanca, Numancia and Real Unión. In La Liga he appeared for Numancia and Osasuna, for a total of 48 matches. Club career Brit was born in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa. Having grown through the ranks of Real Sociedad and having played as a senior with modest clubs, mostly in the Basque Country, he made his debut in La Liga with CA Osasuna in the 2002–03 season. The BRIT Awards (often simply called the BRITs) are the British Phonographic Industry's annual popular music awards. The name was originally a shortened form of "British", "Britain", or "Britannia" (in the early days the awards were sponsored by Britannia Music Club), but subsequently became a backronym for British Record Industry Trusts Show. In addition, an equivalent awards ceremony for classical music, called the Classic BRIT Awards, is held in May. Britstown is a small farming town situated in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, in the Pixley ka Seme District Municipality, Emthanjeni Local Municipality. The town is named after Hans Brits who settled here after he accompanied David Livingstone on a venture into the interior. Britstown lies in the heart of the Central Karoo and is located exactly halfway between Cape Town (via Three Sisters) and Johannesburg (via Kimberley) on the N12 national route, and thus is about 700 km from both cities. Brits () is a town situated in a fertile citrus, vegetable and grain-producing area that is irrigated by the waters of the Hartbeespoort Dam in North West Province of South Africa. It is close to the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng, which includes Pretoria, and it has the same dialling code as Pretoria. Walter Brit ( alternatively Brit, Brytte, or Brithus) (fl. 1390), was a fellow of Merton College, Oxford, and the reputed author of several works on astronomy and mathematics, as well as of a treatise on surgery. He has also been described as a follower of John Wycliffe, and as author of a book, ''De auferendis clero possessionibus''.
