Bring The Funny
''Bring the Funny'' is an American comedy competition series that aired on NBC from July 9 to September 17, 2019. Hosted by comedian Amanda Seales, the series features various comedy acts performing in front of an audience for a chance to win $250,000. The first season consisted of 11 episodes: 10 regular episodes and an additional results episode for the finale. The series's panel of judges consists of Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen and Jeff Foxworthy. Open Mic The Open Mic round featured 40 contestants appearing over four episodes, with 10 acts per episode. The judges selected six out of the 10 acts in each episode to move onto the next round, the Comedy Clash; the other four acts were eliminated. David Kirk Traylor, best known by his stage names David Zed and Mr. Zed, is an American mime, actor and singer, and comedian mainly active in Italy and the United States. His mime work involves portraying "Mr. Zed", a fictional human-like robot. Career Born in Indianapolis, David Traylor found success in the late 1970s performing "Zed", a humanoid robot. Kristin Key (born September 25, 1980) is an American comedian who has appeared at The Improv, and on the series ''Last Comic Standing'' and ''Bring the Funny''. She favors a self-deprecating, physical, and improvisational style of comedy and incorporates the guitar to create original musical comedy. Key was born in Aurora, Missouri, to a young Church of Christ minister and his homemaker wife. She has an older brother. She was raised in Liberal, Kansas, until the age of 11, when she moved to Amarillo, Texas.
