Bridgette Gordon
Bridgette C. Gordon (born April 27, 1967) is an American retired female professional basketball player. She was a member of the United States women's national basketball team, that claimed the gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea. In 2007, Gordon was elected to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Knoxville, Tennessee. USA Basketball Gordon was selected to be a member of the team representing the US at the 1987 World University Games held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. The USA team won four of the five contests. In the opening game against Poland, Gordon was the leading scorer for the US with 18 points. After winning their next game against Finland, the USA faced the host team Yugoslavia. DeLand, Florida
DeLand is a city in central Florida. It is the county seat of Volusia County. The city sits approximately north of the central business district of Orlando, and approximately west of the central business district of Daytona Beach. Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Ginnastica Comense 1872 is an Italian multisports club from Como with Athletics (sport), athletics, basketball, fencing and gymnastics sections. It is best known for its women's basketball team, also known as Pool Comense 1872. The Honda Sports Award for basketball is presented annually to the best women's college basketball player, as selected by a panel of more than 1,000 NCAA administrators. The award was first presented following the 1976–77 season. Four nominees are chosen annually by a panel of coaches representing the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), and the winner is chosen by the votes of administrators from every NCAA member institution, with each institution having one vote.
