Bridget Kelly Band
Bridget Kelly Band is an American blues rock and blues band. Formed in 2012 in Gainesville, Florida, United States, they have released seven albums with their most recent being 2022's ''Winter's Coming''. They took part in the 2015 and 2016 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, finishing as runners-up on both occasions. Career The band was formed in Gainesville, Florida, by Bridget Kelly and Tim Fik in 2012. Their debut album, ''Back in the Blues'', was self-released the following year. By the time of the issue of their second album, ''Forever in Blues'' (2014), some tracks from the collection were being played on Sirius XM radio. With this release, which contained 15 original numbers all penned by Kelly and Fik, came favorable reviews from music critics in both the United States and United Kingdom. Brandon Santini (born February 3, 1982) is an American roots rock and blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter. Several of his releases have made the national ''Billboard'' Blues Chart. He has been nominated for multiple Blues Music Awards and multiple Blues Blast Music Awards. ''Blues Blast'' magazine called him "one of the best harp players in the blues scene today." His music is featured in The NBC Peacock Network’s original series, “Poker Face.” Background Santini was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States, and took up harmonica at age 15 after hearing Blues Traveler vocalist and harmonica player John Popper. The Sarasota Blues Fest was an annual music festival held at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida. In addition to all day live entertainment, the festival has vendors selling a wide array of food, drink and crafts. History The Sarasota Blues Fest was started in 1991 by the Sarasota Blues Society. Buddy Guy's Legends is a blues club in Chicago, Illinois. It was opened in 1989 by blues musician Buddy Guy who still owns the club and who still makes regular appearances, performing a month of shows each January. Legends is one of the few blues clubs left in Chicago, a city renowned for its own particular brand of blues. The club has hosted blues greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Buddy himself.
