Brian Witherspoon
Brian Witherspoon (born June 5, 1985) is an American track and field runner and former football cornerback and return specialist. He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Stillman. Professional career Witherspoon was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He tore his ACL for a second straight season during offseason practices with the Giants, and was waived/injured on May 24. Witherspoon has also played for the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and New York Giants. Track and field In July 2013, Witherspoon retired from football to be a full-time track and field runner. 60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games.
