Brian Stynes
Brian Stynes (born 29 September 1971) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Dublin county team and now resides in Australia. He attended De La Salle College, Churchtown, Dublin. Playing career Australian rules football Stynes saw the success that his older brother Jim (who won the All-Ireland minor football championship with Dublin in 1984) had in Australian rules football's Australian Football League, and was recruited to his brother's club, Melbourne. He debuted in 1992 and at 190 cm was touted as a possible key position player, but his career in the AFL did not blossom, and he played only two games for no goals. In 1993, he played for Victorian Football Association club Port Melbourne, and was part of the club's losing 1993 Grand Final team. Ballyboden St Enda's (''CLG Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna'' in Irish) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Knocklyon, South Dublin, Ireland. The Club serves the Rathfarnham, Knocklyon, Ballycullen, Ballyboden, Ballyroan, Firhouse areas. They offer hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, handball, and rounders. International Rules Series
The International Rules Series is a senior men's international rules football competition between the Australia international rules football team (selected by the Australian Football League) and the Ireland international rules football team (selected by the Gaelic Athletic Association). The series is played biannually over two Test matches in November after the completion of the AFL Grand Final and the All-Ireland Football Final, which are both traditionally played in late September, and the winner is the team with the highest cumulative score over both Tests; however, there have been six unscheduled years since 2009. The 2005 Australian Football International Cup was the second time that the Australian Football International Cup tournament, an international Australian rules football competition was held. The event was hosted by both Melbourne and Wangaratta, Australia in 2005. 10 nations participated following the late withdrawal of both Nauru and Denmark and the introduction of Spain.
