Brian Stack (born August 18, 1964) is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his sketch comedy work. He worked on all three late-night talk shows hosted by Conan O'Brien including ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'' and ''The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien'' on NBC, and '' Conan'' on TBS. Stack left ''Conan'' in April 2015 to join the writing staff of the CBS series ''The Late Show with Stephen Colbert''. Career Stack got his start in comedy with the improv comedy troupe The Second City in Chicago, working alongside fellow comedians such as Amy Poehler. ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'' Stack became a sketch writer on ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'' in 1997, and served as a writer and actor on the show. Brian Stack (prison Officer)
Brian Stack (1935/1936 — 29 September 1984), the chief prison officer at Portlaoise Prison, was shot in the neck in 1983 by members of the Provisional IRA and died after 18 months in hospital. He was the only officer in the Irish Prison Service to be killed in connection with the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Political controversy arose in 2016 around allegations that Gerry Adams, the leader of Sinn Féin, knew the identity of the killers. Shooting and death Portlaoise Prison is the Republic of Ireland's high security prison and the place of detention for most of those convicted under the Offences against the State Act, including republican paramilitaries convicted in relation to the Troubles in Northern Ireland. As chief prison officer, Stack was responsible for reviewing security at the prison to prevent escape attempts. Stack's family later believed his efficacy in this role was what motivated his killers. Brian Benjamin Stock (born 24 December 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and was most recently the manager of Weymouth. Born in England, Stock represented Wales at international level. Club career AFC Bournemouth Stock began his professional career at AFC Bournemouth, making his league debut on 22 January 2000 against Colchester United. He played 145 league games and scored 16 goals for Bournemouth before signing initially on loan to Preston North End in January 2006.
