Brian Smith (born 14 March 1954) is an Australian rugby league coach and former player. He was also the Football Manager for the New Zealand Warriors. Life and career Career Smith played for St. George 1973-74 and South Sydney Rabbitohs (1975-1976 and 1979), appearing in a total of 31 first grade games. However, Smith is best known as a coach, having been at the helm of Illawarra Steelers, where he took over for the 1984 season, before moving to Hull FC, St. George Dragons, Bradford Bulls, Parramatta Eels, the Newcastle Knights and, most recently, at the Sydney Roosters and the NSW Country side. Brian Smith (born 22 April 1975 in Castelar, Buenos Aires Province) is a racing driver from Argentina. Smith was the 1995 Argentine Formula Renault champion, before competing in the British Formula 3 Championship and eventually International Formula 3000, entering ten races at that level. After a brief appearance in the World Series by Nissan in 2001, and a subsequent hiatus from the sport, he moved to Argentine touring car racing. Life and career Formula Three Smith won the 1995 Argentine Formula Renault championship, earning him a place in British Formula 3 for the 1996 season with the TOM'S team. He finished tenth in the championship that year, with a best race finish of third and two starts from pole position. Brian Smith (born 27 October 1966) is a former footballer who played as a defender. Born in Sheffield, England, he spent all but a short loan spell with his home town club Sheffield United. Career Smith initially signed with Sheffield United as a YTS trainee in 1983 before turning professional in 1984. Smith made semi-regular appearances for United from that point on, initially deployed as a right-back but later as a midfielder and then more regularly as a left-back. Following a brief loan spell with Scunthorpe United in 1987, Smith had established himself in United's first team by the 1988–89 season as they were promoted to Division Two, but he broke his leg just prior to the end of the season during a home game against Preston North End. Brian Desmond Smith (September 6, 1940 – August 2, 1995) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player and sportscaster. Smith was born in Ottawa, Ontario, the son of former professional ice hockey player Des Smith and brother of former professional ice hockey goaltender Gary Smith. Smith was a professional ice hockey player from 1960 to 1973, playing 67 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota North Stars during the 1967–68 and 1968–69 seasons. Brian Smith (born 7 July 1967 in Paisley) is a Scottish former racing cyclist turned commentator and manager. Before turning professional Smith rode for the French amateur team Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. He won the professional men's race at the British National Road Race Championships in 1991 and 1994, and was runner-up in 1992 and 1993.
