Brian Sanches
Brian Lee Sanches (born August 8, 1978) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. In 1996, Sanches graduated Nederland High School in Texas where he played baseball, basketball, football, and ran track. Sanches attended Lamar University in Texas where he played for the Lamar Cardinals Baseball team. Career Kansas City Royals He was first drafted by the Kansas City Royals as a 2nd round pick in the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft and later signed with them on July 6, 1999. Sanches made his professional debut in 1999 with Single-A Spokane. While there, he struck out a career-high 11 batters in 6.0 innings pitched on August 27, 1999 versus Boise. He pitched a no-hitter on May 2, 2000 for the Single-A Wilmington Blue Rocks versus the Lynchburg Hillcats. Sanches spent the 2001 season with the Double-A Wichita Wranglers. Lynchburg Hillcats
The Lynchburg Hillcats are a Minor League Baseball team in Lynchburg, Virginia that plays in the Carolina League and is the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. They were a farm team of the Atlanta Braves from 2011 to 2014, the Cincinnati Reds in 2010, and the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1995 to 2009. Four-seam Fastball
A four-seam fastball, also called a rising fastball, a four-seamer, or a cross-seam fastball, is a pitch in baseball. It is a member of the fastball family of pitches and is usually the hardest (i.e., fastest) ball thrown by a pitcher. It is called what it is because with every rotation of the ball as it is thrown, four seams come into view. A few pitchers at the major league level can sometimes reach a pitch speed of up to 100 mph. It is often compared with the two-seam fastball. Kenneth David Herndon (born September 4, 1985) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and are named in reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is well known.
