	Brian Rose (cricketer) Brian Charles Rose (born 4 June 1950) is an English former cricketer, who played in nine Test matches and two One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the England cricket team between 1977 and 1981. Rose was educated at Weston-super-Mare Grammar School for Boys. He trained as a teacher before pursuing a successful county career with Somerset. A left-handed opening batsman, he succeeded Brian Close as captain in 1978, and he led the county to their first ever trophies, the Gillette Cup and the John Player League, in 1979. The team was a potent blend of world-class match winners in Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Joel Garner, county professionals and keen youngsters. 	Brian Rose (baseball) Brian Leonard Rose (born February 13, 1976) is an American former professional baseball player. He was a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for four different teams from 1997 to 2001, primarily the Boston Red Sox. Listed at and , he threw and batted right-handed. Biography Rose played high school baseball and was named the Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year in his senior year at Dartmouth High School. To date, his uniform number 19 is one of just three to be retired by Dartmouth High School and his jersey now hangs in the Carlin Lynch Memorial Gymnasium. Rose was drafted in the third round of the 1994 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox. In the process, he turned down several scholarship offers, including a baseball scholarship to the University of Michigan. 	Brian Rose (racing Driver) Brian Christopher Rose (born October 19, 1979) is a former American stock car racing driver. Racing career Rose began his NASCAR career in 2001 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He ran 15 races for Rick Ware in the No. 51, scoring a best finish of 12th. In 2002, Rose went in a new direction, joining Bobby Hamilton Racing. Driving the No. 4, he scored a career best finish of 3rd in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. However Rose was released later in the season. He raced for Billy Ballew Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing to finish off the season. At regional level, he held the British light middleweight title from 2011 to 2012. Amateur career Rose began boxing aged 9 when Dad (Eddie) started him on the path of becoming a boxer due to his hyper activity. It was early on when Eddie was informed that his son was a bit of a natural and so it came to pass that his first amateur fight came just aged 11. He lost, but it didn't put him off and he went on to have 90 amateur fights winning 78 of them and boxing for England. Over 30 of these fights were in different places around the world, the most memorable being in New Delhi, India.
