Brian O'Connor (baseball Coach)
Brian Patrick O'Connor (born April 20, 1971) is the head baseball coach of the Virginia Cavaliers. Previously serving as an Associate Head Coach at Notre Dame, he was hired on July 8, 2003, to replace the retiring Dennis Womack (who moved on to assistant athletic director of facilities management and operations). O'Connor has taken the Virginia baseball team to fourteen NCAA baseball tournaments during his 15 seasons in Charlottesville, including the 2009 College World Series, the first in school history; the 2011 College World Series, as the No. 1 national seed; the 2014 College World Series, as the No. 3 national seed; and the 2015 College World Series, which they won and became National Champions for the first time in school history. Brian Scott O'Connor (who has his nickname, "Big Hands" or "Marc McFettridge", because of his very large hands) is best known for his role as bass guitarist for rock band Eagles of Death Metal. He appears on ''Death By Sexy'', ''Heart On'', and is included in the video for " I Want You So Hard (Boy's Bad News)". Biography Brian is a Pacific Northwest original, growing up in the rural community of Carrolls between Kalama and Kelso-Longview, Washington. Brian Redmond Devereaux O'Connor (5 July 1913 – 17 December 1963) was an Australian first-class cricketer who played Sheffield Shield cricket for Queensland. Biography O'Connor, a right-arm fast-medium opening bowler and lower order batsman, made four of his five first-class matches in the 1934/35 Sheffield Shield season. He struggled on his debut, against South Australia at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, going wicket-less in the first innings and conceding 80 runs off just 13 overs. In the second innings he dismissed opener Vic Richardson and then helped Queensland win the match by scoring 11 not out from nine in the batting order, securing a narrow three wicket victory. His next appearance was at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against Victoria and he was more successful with the ball, claiming 2/72, with the wickets of Leo O'Brien and Len Darling. Brian O'Connor, MRIA (born 1965) is an Irish social philosopher active in the tradition of continental European intellectual thought. O'Connor is a professor of philosophy at University College Dublin and director of the school of philosophy. He has written extensively on German Idealism and Critical Theory, and is an expert on the philosopher, Adorno. O’Connor has also written on the subject of idleness in his 2018 book of the same name, which provided a comparative analysis of the philosophy of idleness. Brian M. O'Connor (born January 4, 1977) is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher who played during one season at the major league level for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was drafted by the Pirates in the 11th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft, 1995 amateur draft. O'Connor played his first professional season in 1995 with their Rookie league Gulf Coast Pirates (baseball), Gulf Coast Pirates and his last season with the Atlanta Braves' Triple-A Richmond Braves in 2006. Brian Edward O'Connor (born February 14, 1953), known professionally as Brian Brucker O'Connor or Brian O'Connor, is an American actor, comedian and guidance counselor.
